Iron Yoga: Yoga with Weights!

Confused with Yoga and weights?? Do both !!! By Neeraj Mehta

Iron yoga is a new dimension of fitness that combines weight training exercises with yoga postures. It is the technique of performing yoga stretches with props such as lightweight dumbbells, kettle balls, barbells, gym balls, medicine balls, etc. The combination of static and dynamic yoga stretches with weighted props is an effective way to build muscular strength, increase flexibility and maintain overall health.

Iron yoga is suitable for all age groups. The techniques are modified according to biomechanics, so that the stretches and postures are modified and intensified according to every individual's fitness level. The props used also depend on the fitness level of the practitioner.

Benefits of iron yoga
Iron yoga is more effective than a simple yoga stretch or routine weight training. While holding a stretch, you also hold weights in your hands, so that that along with the muscle contraction, there is also adequate flow of oxygenated blood to your muscles. This helps your muscles http://www.gffi-fitness.org/iron-yoga-yoga-with-weights/
